Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation
The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation welcomes the Mountaintop Civil Rights Traveling Exhibit. This comprehensive collection of over 2000 artifacts and memorabilia from the Civil Rights Era will be on display Wednesday, February 18 through Friday, February 20 from 10:00am-6:00pm in the Southern Cultural Heritage Academy Building. Admission to view the traveling exhibit is $6/adults and $5/children (18 & under).
The exhibit contains oil paintings, portraits, posters, figurines, and wall plaques that depict various scenes and individuals that were instrumental in the Freedom Movement.
The intention of the exhibit is to demonstrate to individuals that it is possible to make change without the use of violence. The Mountaintop Exhibit will present a view that peaceful activities can indeed bring about resolutions to problems that exist in humanity.
